Dozens wild fowl in the Leighton Buzzard area have been found at the bottom of the grand union canal.
Experts belief that an unsuspecting parent at today's Overstone school fete bought a fruit cake. After tasting the corner, they clearly thought the cake was too heavy to eat and threw it to hungry ducks on the nearby canal.
An expert said that the cake was "As stodgy as hell", Who on earth baked this brick?.
